Best social media marketing infographic of 2013

Social Media is here to stay whether you like it or not.

Of course, social media is evolving fast and what worked in terms of  Social Media Marketing a year ago is different today and will be in a few months time.

If you are still in doubt as to whether you need to consider using Social Media Marketing to promote your business then climb out from under that rock and check out these stats 😉

I don’t mean to be rude!

But the reality is, almost without exception, social media plays a role in the marketing of your business as somebody, somewhere is talking about what you do, what your competitors do or having a discussion about finding the types of products and services you offer.

Social media is here to stay!

Are you on Google+ yet? Well throughout 2013 an additional 25,000 people per day created an account.

Yes you read that right…25,000 people… per day!

So it’s not just about whether you choose to use social media to market your business. That’s pretty much obvious to most people now. The next question is to think about the social media platform to use.

If I can give you one top tip here it’s this.

You’ve heard the phrase “Jack of all trades, Master of none”

Well this is highly relevant with social media. Choose one or two and really focus on them before you spread yourself too thinly and try out a whole load.

So if you sell B2B in your business, I recommend Linkedin and Twitter.

If you are B2C perhaps Facebook.

But you know your customers best and in my opinion, never guess where they hang out most… just ask them! Because if your best customers are spending most time on a certain platform it’s almost guaranteed that many other people like them are also there!
